new hellcat are here.

Someone refresh my memory if there's a lower form of life than a car dealer/ salesman.

RV salesman...

The dealer "charging" over sticker is only half the story. The only reason the guy paid 20 over is because the other guy that wanted it stopped at 19.9 over. It's not that uncommon. I paid over for my '08 First Edition Challenger. Not 20 over but a couple K over. It was the last one of two in a 200 mile radius and I got to the dealership ahead of the other guy. My guess is he couldn't get the cash together.

Besides, after the mods, it's pushing a little more than the Hellcat and, other some design changes, is functionally the same car. Although I completely understand wanting/paying for the factory Hellcat. Awesome cars...

Missed in all the discussion about price. Destination charge is A GRAND? When did this get so ridiculous?

It would be hard to fathom shipping closed based on price point considering that most fully equipped pickups (especially 3/4 and 1 ton diesels) sell for more than this. Plus high end import automobiles (thinking bimmer, mercs and audi maybe infiniti and lexus too) Where would you draw a line to what should be shipped enclosed?

Considering the Hellcats are coming out of Brampton, Ontario Canada their bound to get messy on the highway on the way there but as long as they clean up nice, no damage etc. I can't see this as an issue.

Hemi Rebel do you work at the dealership or just go down to have a lookie-loo?

I Don't Get It?????

What is all this fascination with a car that costs more than most people can offered? Sure it's a newer HP MOPAR and I am sure it will run circles around anything else out there but seriously now. Why would you pay that kind of money for a vehicle that will depreciate rather quickly after it leaves the showroom floor? Then add the very high monthly payment...I dare say that for the majority of folks they cannot even afford it per month...but will still go out and buy one? You know in this current economy you could do so much better putting that money to better use than on a novelty car such as this? It's just my opinion and I am sure that others here will feel differently, but since this new version of MOPAR has come out, all I hear and read about is this "HELLCAT" this and "HELLCAT" that. I guess the phrase, "A fool and their money will soon be departed" is at play here. Cr8crshr thinks it is foolish...Rant Off...Tuck

I saw it. I want it. I can afford it. No problemo, at least for me.

His bald spot is worse than mine. Or is it a cow-lick. Hellcat is the best thing ever for bragging rights. Can't afford one but that's ok. Notice all the bullshit yahoo articles on Stangs and Cameros having over 700 all of a sudden? Not from the factory though. All Hail the new King. Mopar rules the quarter mile. In the comment section for these crappy lib articles I just put "Hellcat. Further, don't care if it is screwed (welded) together in Canada. Just look at it - it screams American muscle. From the clay-model that John Herlitz worked on in the late 60's to today. Timeless brute.

We don't have screws (pointy and dangerous) and we certainly don't weld anything (personal fear of injury and liability of course) You will have to settle for your Hellcats being held together with Glu-Stik's (the non toxic kind of course)

Heck, I don't care if they put the Hellcat's together with a nail-gun....I want one! :headbang:

I want one too. But wisdom has taught me to wait a little for a great deal on one that somebody want's out of, or can't afford.

Are we sure Kowalski didn't deliver it?

What, they're not made in America?

It's NORTH AMERICAN made! :)

I work there

That's what I assumed. I'll look forward to your reports as you see these rolling through the dealership. Were there many delivered?

I think it will be quite a while to get a "deal" on a used one given demand will be there for a while.
