Looks like I'll get to race this weekend. The plan is to run some test and tune Saturday at Kil-Kare (Xenia) in the afternoon and see if the new intake changes things much over the M1.... then head to Indy in the evening and set up pit and be ready for Sundays race.

RacerAl....
I used to go to Kil-Kare back in 1982 through 1985!

Looks GREAT!
Good luck and hopefully the weather will be nice...
Be careful of the red 67 GTO from Donnelsville OH..Ha Ha!

Good luck! Where did you get those valve covers? Very nice!!!

Al, looks like a real nice intake manifold but from tests results that I have read about the M1 as compared to the Edelbrock 440 Single Plane 4150 intake that's shows not much, if any difference in horsepower...and the Trick Flow intake sure looks like a tony twin to the Edelbrock.
I have the Edelbrock 440 Single Plane on my 505" motor but with a Super Sucker 4150 to 4500 adapter and a 1050 Dominator on top of that. The big carb made 3/10s difference over an 850cfm carb but that is with a 505" not a bored 440.
Anyway, you have a very strong running 440. Keep up the good work and be sure and report your et's, etc from your first outing. We all want the info. Thanks, Mike

Looks great ! I'm anxiously waiting to hear if you gained any performance over your m1. I to have a port matched m1 and came real close to changing to the Indy or trick flow cause they look so sweet. As mike Gaines said a lot of test show no performance increase and it seems like the m1 always comes out on top. . If you pick up any ill immediatly order one and post my m1 lol, that intake looks great

The valve covers are from Mopar Performance...the last time I looked they were in my next day warehouse. They are around the $300 range.

Thanks Mike. I ordered a Super Sucker spacer today. I hope to have it before I go this weekend. I would like to do a back to back comparison with and without it too see what it does. My carb is a 950cfm.

Nice! Good luck with the improvements!
When it comes time to tear it down, consider getting that raw aluminum finished ... so it LOOKS GOOD for years too.
< wink >
