Hey all,
I'm Ryan. I checked in in the welcome area a few months ago, and I finally got off my bum to snap some pics. I had this car from '02 -'08, and sold it before I left for boot camp. Bought it back from the guy I sold it to this summer, he was a friend of the family, and now its back home. My wife and I went to my senior prom in this old girl :icon_wink:
Still runs and drives great, but she leaks just about everything but gas, lol. So I think this winter I'm gonna start with the tinkering. Probably pull the 318, and give it a rebuild and maybe a few goodies while I'm in there. I want it to be a cruiser don't need a bruiser. I have a '67 440 from a New Yorker, but that just might be made into a coffee table for now w/o ruining it of course.
Just needs all the little things, it was re-painted the original color while my buddy had it, it's not a bad paint job but there are a few spots that bug me. i won't complain too much about a free paint job though.
Anyways let me know what ya think.

Super car... I love the color too! Glad you got it back since it had a lot of memories for you. I've had my Road Runner Superbird clone for 19 years now. Like part of the family.

Just bought a 72 Charger about 6 months ago and have yet to drive it. Also bought a 72 parts car last month. Don't worry too much about the leaking... mine does that... it is just marking its territory, I guess.

Godspeed,
Jon

thanks for the comments, i'm sure i'll be more active on the board as i get to work on the car. and i'll be sure to take lots a pics

Nice car! Love them 72's

Good looking 72! I love the emblem placement on the 1/4 of the 72's. Don't see enough flat hood ,non vinyl top cars anymore!:icon_super:

Pulled the front and rear seat, and the carpet out today. Floor is almost all rust free except driver's side under the feet, where i was worried there would be problems, but I can't really complain I know it could be so much worse. I searched the forum already, and found a few places to look for a patch panel, i.e. Goodmark, Herbs, Auto Body Restoration catalog; Are there any others I should check with, any I should stay away from, etc. thanks in advance for the help.

Also, I am having a hard time confirming the seat cover color, I want to recover them, Goodmark has them in "Ember Gold" but there isn't a photo available. Does anyone know if this is a match or possibly have pics of what that product looks like. I decoded the fender tag, and it list the interior color as Saddle Tan,
and I haven't had much luck with the broadcast sheet narrowing it down either.

Legendary makes about the best interiors out there and would have what you need in the color you have. Dante's parts Sells Legendary interior and also has the floor pan section you are looking for. He is very helpful, highly recommended. I like Herb's parts too, good people

Thats a nice 72, I know what you mean about memories as I bought my 73 new.
