And as an afterthought, in almost 14 years of powder coating, I've never once had a customer show me his meat before.

Okayyyyyyyyyy I'm going to work now. Vroooooommmmmmmm

Well Jason, as a man who has had many....many jobs, I will just leave you with this. The more things you do in life, the wider base that is beneath you. I guess that means, you need many experiences under your belt so you don't fall over. What if you only did what you are doing now, until you were 57 and then you were laid off? What if it was the only thing you knew? The days of having one job your whole life are pretty much over. Good for you to take the plunge into something new!! You have been employed for 18 years with one company. That is no small task, it shows commitment on your part and your employer. Word to the wise, do not burn that bridge!! You just never know. I've been all over the map in my life and it has come to serve me well. I never burned any bridges and it paid off in the end. It led to the opportunity that i presently have now. (semi retired at 48) Man, it makes me nervous just to type that. Keep your head down and always look to improve yourself or your situation, even if it makes your employer more successful.
