I just bought this car it has a 6 pack crank/cam as per write up that came with it. My problem is little to no brakes when idleing, the dealer that I bought from said to put it into netural wheen coming to a stop to keep vacumn up. Ther must be a better way or should I go to standard brakes. The front have been changed to disc brakes. Also do you guys buy parts some where special I need a service manual, would like to put 25 in cragars and L60 tires on it at some point in time. Also I need inner front fender splash shields I noticed after I bought they are missing. Any info on this car would be helpful. It is a B5 blue on blue with a white rear strip. Matching numbers I think all orginal except it had a 4 speed when it came down line , would like to go back to this some day, money permitting. Thanks guy's

Welcome to the site from the Motor City! And also from the owner of another '68 Coronet R/T 4 spd car. Does yours still have the Dana in it? Let's see some pics.

Yes it still has the Dana in it I was told it is a 3:54:1, I would love to have the 4 speed back. I have a brake problem I need to address first low vacumn, how is yours. I have lots of pic which ones would you like to see.

Do you know where we can gets parts at a good price, close to canada?

Welcome to the site...How much cam does the car have in it? Pretty radical? I would vacuum check at the manifold, check the check valve on the booster and then take a serious look at the booster itself if the vacuum and check valve are looking good. How's the timing? Dialed in at peak manifold vacuum? Vacuum leaks anywhere? Lotta areas/things to look at.

Welcome to FBBO...

Mancini Racing is a great parts source...

welcome canuck 68 r/t. as mentioned above i use mancini for some stuff and they are good to deal with. when using any american supplier be sure to specify USPS for delivery. most suppliers use UPS as their default carrier and UPS will Screw You Over with there extra charges. i also came from peterborough and know some good mopar guys up there. there is a good used mopar parts guy up around lindsay. send me a pm and i will tell you some names up there.:headbang:
.
good luck and welcome aboard- rick

ps; there is a guy in the north/east of town with a small shop at home and if he can't fix your mopar nobody can. he will let you supply the parts also. good guy.

Welcome. Nice looking Coronet.
Had my booster rebuilt by John Stuart in Stoney Creek.
Picked up at my house and shipped back in a week. Works great.

I bought mine as a project but most of the metalwork was already done and the original engine is freshly rebuilt to close to stock specs. I also have the original 4 spd and Dana as well as the fender tag. Black car w/white stripe and a white over black bucket seat non console interior. I'm going to redo some of the metalwork as it wasn't done quite to my standard but I took it off a rotisserie to transport it and its just been sitting since while I finish a couple other projects. I do look forward to getting that one back on the road.
Yours looks great, nice find! I'm glad mine is black but QQ1 is right up there as a favorite color.

Welcome, your R/T sounds like the car recently advertised on Barrie kijiji, excellent buy for a nice Coronet. Your best place in Ontario for parts is National Moparts in Beaverton,Nigel is also a 68 R/t owner and a wealth of information ,probably knows your car. If it,s the Barrie car I,m sure it has been magazene featured in the 80,s

I'll second John Stuart for brakes, i've been using them for many years and have always been a satisfied customer.
