My name is Shawn and I’m the owner of a 1969 Dodge Coronet 440. (Pictures below) I’ve been working on this car for many years, and there’s a few items needing completion. I hoping to be able to find some info on some of the things I need fixed, rebuilt or replaced. Currently the car is sitting without heads on it, as I had a valve stick and a piston hit it. Luckily, I just bent the valve and no damage to the piston. So the heads are out being rebuilt. But, while it sits, I’ve decided to install a stock NOS AM 8 track. Problem is, my stock radio is an AM push button and the faceplate is different. I cannot find a silver & black 8 track faceplate to match what I have. So, I’ve decided to change my dash inserts to woodgrain. I think this would look nice as I have saddle colored interior. I found this forum after doing extensive searching for these pieces. I saw that there’s someone in these forums that is making them. So now I’ve gotta reach out to him about getting a set made. This would help complete the one thing I haven’t been able to do for years. After this...it’s time to get my AC compressor replaced of rebuilt, and all the other parts that go to the AC. As they were all missing when I bought the car.

Welcome from Alabama, nice looking 69 Coronet. Post an ad in the WTB section and you may get some results.

Welcome to FBBO from SoCal - very nice looking ride. I think the member you bought the dash parts from was @SoCal440GTX. He’s really some beautiful looking wood grain dash pieces.

Beautiful car! I have a 68 500 myself. Welcome!

Welcome from Farmington Michigan, great looking car, love the color.

GREAT looking car.

Class act keeping it a 440 model as it was born.

I had thought about making a Bee clone when I first got the car. But after looking at the chrome molding that runs the length of the car, I couldn’t do it. It’s a nice look and it woulda been a shame to reduce it to just the chrome around the wheels. Besides...it wouldn’t be a real Bee anyway. So, I left the car body the way it was made. But, replaced the 318 with a 440, replaced the 904 trans with 727 and replaced the 8” rear end with a 8 3/4 3.92 sure grip. But I really do need to get rid of the 14” tires. I bought em when it was a 318. Now I roast em when I take off. It’s a nice sound, until you hear the sound of the register when buying new tires.
