Welcome from NV. I’m sorry to hear of your stepfather’s passing. Nice car!
I chased a squeal for a bit on 69 Bee I used to own. Can be a real headache. Have you considered changing out your alternator? It could be a component (bearing etc.) inside the alternator itself that went bad resulting in the noise resembling belt squeal. I had this happen on an alternator that was only a month old so I presumed there was no way it could be the cause. Turned out it was. Might be worth a try. If you PM me your contact info I have a video of the noise. I can text or email it to you so you can compare it to your “squeal.”
