Hey all,

Wanted to introduce myself, I don't currently have a MOPAR, but growing up in high school I had a '66 Charger with a 318 2 bbl that I put together and fell in love with those cars.

Years passed and I find myself missing that car more and more, so now I'm starting to gently test the waters to see what's out there as far as project cars to get me another one. :D

Welcome from NY.
There are still a few around but they are gaining some popularity. So not the bargain they once were.
Try and find a complete one because parts for these are expensive and can be difficult to find.

That's what I'm afraid of. I had a heck of a time finding C-chromes and the back lenses when I built it the first time. I know that's changed since then but it's still not nearly the availability as for some others

Welcome from Alabama, the search is on, best of luck with it.

I also agree, try to purchase one that you can get into and drive.
There was very nice black 66 383 auto for sale here for about 35,000. Canadian. But I think it is sale pending.
It was done for a Charity Raffle.
Might possibly need instrument cluster gauge work.

Welcome. Good luck in your search.

Welcome from the central coast of Cal. Start hitting some car shows in your area, especially Mopar centric, plus any cars n coffee meets.

That's a little too rich for me. I'm looking for more of a project to start out with. Totally OK with rebuilding the drivetrain and interior; would prefer not to do bodywork, but if push comes to shove will do that as well. As far as I know there's no pre-fab patch panels for the first gen Chargers so I'd have to custom fab anything I'd have to replace, which would be an additional challenge.

I found one possibility in MN, however when the ad says 'rust free' and MN, my cynicism rises to the surface.

Welcome from CT. Don pointed out the parts problem with 66/67 Chargers and other 66/67 cars.

Welcome! Yes I think rust free means they've covered most of the rank rust so your eyes are slightly less offended
