So with extremely short notice we decide to paint my car, Our neighbor came over last Wednesday (April 20th) to let me and my dad know he was going out of town for Easter and said we could have his garage after he left that Friday til he came back this past Tuesday.

So we ran to get all the supplies that evening (Wednesday), Then Thursday we went to get all our primer and paint mixed followed by stripping the entire car on Friday we also begain to sand it. Saturday more sanding lol, Sunday we were at our friends most of the day and didn't get much done, Monday we did more sanding and checked over the whole car, Tuesday we prepped it for paint taped all the windows up, As my dad was spraying the primer he ran into a problem with low air pressure (Never happened before) So it took him alot longer to get it done. Our neighbor got home that day and said we could use his garage for a few more days so we were able to sand the primer and make it perfect, My dad kinda got busy with work so we didn't get much done, And then yesterday about a week after we started we got the paint sprayed, Sadly things didn't go quite as planned. Again after we thought we had fixed the pressure problem it still wasn't working right, The gauge would read 30psi at the gun and as soon as he would spray it would drop to like 10psi while the tank was showing 120psi... Still don't get it but he was able to do his best and it came out pretty good.

For some strange reason the whole car is rough but oddly enough i like it, almost like a satin PCP, Not sure if i like it more then a glass like finish but for now i'm happy! Anyways i'm sure some of you are just waiting to see the car so i'll start adding pictures, Enjoy!

Wish i got a picture of the quarter above, We made a sweet fiberglass patch, the bondo you see in the picture was to cover up the rough texture from the fiberglass mat/resin.

Good stuff! I got over 3 years into my resto and the "DOG"s still not painted. Nice work to the both of you. How many coats were applied?

did you guys spray a clear coat over it, if not is that a top coat paint the reason i ask is with how flat that looks it almost looks as if it was a base coat paint that hasnt been clear coated. if that is the case just figured id give you a heads up on base coat paints you need clear coat to protect the color from uv fade
