Lowered the car this morning on the new SS springs, didn't know what to expect as far as how high it would set but it looks great. The front was lowered by the previous owner so I will raise it back up about an inch.

Looks good Red. What weight springs did you go with, I see they list 3200lb, 3400lb, 3600lb etc and any chance you did a before and after measurement on the rear? Curious what the difference was. Mines squatin like Grandmas car right now with the old deflated air shocks that came on it, so need to do shocks and springs. Want it to end up like this 65 at a local shop. Might need new torsion bars too.

I went with the 456/457 which is for a 3400# car, actual weight of the car is less than that but doesn't include driver. Difference appears to be very little, I too had the old springs and air shocks but they weren't pumped up full. My front end is sporting 14" wheels so it will sit a little lower in the front for now.

Car is sitting good Red !

Hey sandiesel, myabe its just my eyes, but doesnt that 65 look like it has a mono-leaf setup on it ?

I am pleased with how it sits, anxious to see how it feels to drive. Waiting for a part so I can get my fuel tank back in and while waiting I figured I would change a few parts out.

Wonder if people would riot if they found out the original application of those shock plates?!? :)

Looks great!

I am almost affraid to ask.......:bootyshake:

Hey, ashes to ashes, rust to rust....:angel1:

When you get the front where you want roll her out and post a good side shot pic for us. Looks like it'll have a real good stance.

65-440, yeah the car on that site does look like the spring pack is skinny.
