Ron,just a new engine.
I'll let everyone know on monday when the intake and carbs show up.
It's for the light blue dodge. I need to step it up cuz B1's are now legal in NSS.
Had a 1/2 hour talk with Doug Duell today to clarify the head rules. I'm not understanding & liking the rule but i guess if you cant beat em' join em. B1's with oil drainbacks imo do not look original and OE.
if i get rid of the rack, its looks like the black car is legal also.
Sheetmetal intakes are legal in AAA/FX.
Why would they worry about rack & pinion steering ?, I don't really get the reasoning behind that rule, there are far easier ways to lighten a car then putting a safer, lighter, quicker steering system like a rack & pinion in it... Maybe because of better oil pan & header clearances or something along those lines or maybe the stock appearances thing, which they really don't seem to follow either, humm, I don't know...
with a rack, you can fit a dry sump system in and get the motor lower to the ground.
just got a call from doug duell again and it seems the b1 ts head is now illegal in nss.
someone must of gotten his ear today.
Yesterday it was a ok. today is a no.:kermit:
Yep I understand all of that, it's just kind of a dumb rule, make it no dry sumps or no lowered engine center lines or something, the rules are all over the board it's not consistent really for that era of cars at all, it seems like it is just to fit someones specific build more like than an era...
