Greetings all!

Recently got a 69 coronet. Im unfamiliar with this vehicle, good with cars but by no means a gearhead. But i do have plans for it... Suspension update in front, 4 wheel disks, lowering with modern rims and tires, poss. Powerer steering, and the thing i have absolutely no experience with... Replacing the crazy three speed auto with... Unknown at this point but id actually prefer an auto (sacrelige i know) stick if its less troublesome just anything with more gears so i dont feel like the engine is revving itself apart on the expressway. Im listening to any and all advice and will be asking lotsa ignorant questions. Thanks in advance for y'alls understanding and help. Happy to be here.

Hi
Welcome aboard and thanks for joining the forum!
As Dick Landy always said: "You cant out shift and automatic car with a 4-speed"
Good luck with your project!

welcome to the site. My personal opinion is build it how you want. I did a pro-touring look with my 70 RR. Most like it, some don't but I did it my way. Day i bought him and then 3 years later. Named him J.R.- after my favorite tv show character from the show Dallas. He's not perfect by no means.

Welcome to FBBO. Can we infer from your handle that you bought a 440 Six Pack? Love that in a coronet - or anything else for that matter. Have a GTX Six Pack myself. Let's see some pics.....

Welcome!! Sounds like you have a lot of work ahead, and this is the place to be for answers to all of the inevitable questions. Many of us are also not super gearheads/mechanics/body men/welders/whatever either but with the forum members, we are all pros. Pics please, we need new car ****!!
