hi all.

just checking in. my name is pete, and i live in the northeast US. been a lover of cars and a backyard wrench for years. always wanted a charger and finally got one (or at least enough parts to assemble one). i know more about chebbys and aircooled veedubs than i do mopars, so i have been having a fun time cruising the forum to learn about this other manufatcurer i have no experience with ;) i finally decided to join up now.

let's just say i have no fear. and while i appreciate original, it's not really in my budget. my project car is combined from no fewer than 7 donor cars. (roof/doors/tail panel, chassis/firewall, hood/trunk, fenders, grill, engine, transmission).

it will be 440 4 speed car when all is said and done, no intentions to race, just enjoy cruising!

i'm looking forward to continuing to learn and pick stuff up from you all.

Welcome from CT. Looks like you have a project if you get close enough to work on it. A few more pictures would be nice.

Welcome from Alabama, we have completely re-skinned a 70 Challenger, but I don't believe we went that deep. The best with your project.

here's where things started, to where they are now.

i started with a 68-70 parts car. nothing forward of the firewall, no floors, and nothing behind the rear window, though it did come with a trunklid and tail panel.

i managed to find a solid-where-it-counted 66 parts car. the body was pretty hammered, rotted, and bondoed. so all the unnecessary stuff was removed and the later parts welded on.

right now it's out being sandblasted before i get going any further.

Welcome to FBBO, Pete, from Ontario. That looks like a very intense project. Good luck with it.

Welcome, Pete! That's a real FrankenCharger you're building, there.
