Always wanted a 66 Charger. Love the body lines.

Finally found one. Going to completely restore it to it's original beauty.

It is a 383 with the 727.

I bought it from a guy that seemed to have 2 of everything for the car lol.

He already had the interior stripped. And had put the engine and transmission back in it.

I took the time to be sure it ran, And shifted good. All checked out.

Now the engine and transmission are coming back out because he didn't do the firewall any justice before he put the engine back in.

I figure 6 to 8 months and this car will be driven. Most likely daily ( Except when it is snowing! )

I will include a few pic's for you guys. And will post the finished product.

P.S. I DO need a couple front bucket seats if anyone has some. I don't care if they need recovered as i am going to do that anyway with the ones i have. The ones that came with the car don't seem to match up to the holes in the floor. I can make them work, But would prefer the right ones.

Will not let me upload pic's.

Guess i don't have permission to.

It sux to be a newbie lol.

Welcome to the site - cool car. Hope you can get some pics of it posted.

Welcome to FBBO, good luck with your new 66 Charger project

Pics have to be under a certain size. 1024x768 or 800x600 work real well.

I use "obvious solutions" image resizer.

Welcome to the site! You should be able to post pic's, probably like YY1 indicated, to big maybe.

Welcome aboard! My first Mopar was a 67 Charger, great cars the 66-67 Chargers ( all of them, but a special place for 1st gen ), Dash lights, if i may, turn ya on! lol.. Good luck with it...

Thanks for the tip on the resizer!

The engine and transmission are out now.

She is pretty much stripped and ready to get to work on the body.

Nice part is, This was a barn find, So there isnt a lot of rust to work with.

Just some dents here and there. All the floor panels are good, And the trunk.

All the rails and wheel housings are good.

Just some exterior body work and some paint, And this baby will be ready to go!

Looks really nice!

I love the 1st gen chargers, and that blue looks sweet!

I decoded the tag and found out the original color scheme was Bright Red With a black Horizontal stripe.

Also had black interior.

I thought the original color was white. But i guess i was wrong.

Thinking of going back original.

What do you guys think versus the blue it is now?

If anyone knows where i can get some good donor fenders i am looking.

Also, I went to Sherman panels, And they don't have the rear quarters.

Anyone know who else makes these?
