NMCA to cease operation in 2025

I really enjoyed the NMCA events....well run and met a lot of great people from a bunch of different classes. Sad to see it go.

That's sad & too bad too...

Seems to be the trend for drag racing stuff...
And not just tracks or sanctioning bodies either...

I read it as “NMCC is about to close.” Wait, the Pentagon is closing? No, never mind.

They ceased operations several years ago.... on my end of the country. I wasn't happy then either.
I still wear a NMCA West t-shirt.

Back to old school Bracket Racing - eh?
There are still N/SS events that run index. Other than that the Stock S/S stuff we do is dial in anyway. Nothing new. Running against cars with 2 steps and trans brakes using a foot brake and no starting line chip. We had a decent year. 2 wins, 2 r/u, 3 semis. Do ot some breakage and weather only got in about 80 passes.

The weather was crazy.
UMTR north had 14 races scheduled and only ran 9.

Come on out and run Great Lakes Stock S/S. You'll have fun. Great group.
