Steely Dan name was pulled from he William S. Burroughs....mentioned in the novel was Steely Dan lll.....an oversized, steam powered strap on dildo from Yokohama.(hey, you can't make this **** up)
I met & party'd with Jimmy Hodder around 1982 in Mill Valley Cali. He drummed on 1st 3 LP's 'Can't Buy a thrill' 'Countdown to Ecstasy' & some of 'Pretzel Logic'.
Boy, He died young @ 42 in 1990.

I know this was a long time ago, but I had to to look and see who disagreed with Becker’s talent. Holy cow it was me! No way! I must have hit the red x instead of the agree button and didn’t catch the mistake!
I have since fixed!

Sorry Bladecutter, Becker was a huge talent! Not a rap fan!
