Awesome pictures! Is it just me or are those tepees VERY well lit? Almost to the point of photochop lit.

First thing i thought to.. Thats why i mentioned if these are real, but to pretty of photos to pass on, i could imagine in today's world folks comping with the resources available that they could be well lighted though.

Coleman lanterns would do it and that technology has been around a while.

Them injun's have a honda generator out in back, gotta power the big screen and electric blanket somehow :headbang:

Rusty, I never thought about that, depending on what those are put up with, Ill bet my two mantle one would light that up like that! I have a single to but one of those i think would not be enough.. Good idear! Of course the Honda generator would work to lol, to noisy on a beautiful night like that though...

Those were great photos. Last northern lights i saw was when i was driving across north dakota a few yrs back.They are just awesome and an out of this world experience to see.

Do you remember if it was cold out that night? We were talking about how it always seems to be a cold night when you see them.. Just coincidence or will you make 3 saying cold nights!?

Its atmospheric related i guess so maybe cold has a lot to do with it..

I don't think was was to cold out. Maybe 50=55 degrees.I do remember having a weird dream when i parked in a truck stop that nite about how there is someone for everyone out there(i was single then). Got up the next morning to go inside and found a black hills gold ring on the ground and took it as a sign that whoever's finger this ring fits on would be the one for me. Maybe i finally lost my mind.Of course the lights are caused when the ice caps melt and then when they refreeze and the sun shining on the other side reflects the light into the sky so we can see them. I'm sure the atmospere has a lot to do with it for the fact that cold air is thinner then warm air.
