need to point out

both 70 Plymouth lower grilles are now GONE.

THANKS

Thanks Stu.

One of ours has got a bit of a ding in it but I cant remember which one off the top of my head! Tho regarding pitting, from that pic it doesnt look a whole lot better than the pair we have.
I would appreciate it if you could email some more pics just so we can be sure.

I'll pm you my email.

Sorry for the hijack Nacho!

Hi Nacho - been meaning to post a couple of pics of our 'new' panel...

I was to post right now about that, wondering about the panels sent to Europe!!! Glad you got it and I hope HAPPY and satisfied with description and price!

mmm, I have to check further about which is the new one LOL

Yep, arrived safely, thanks to you both.
And yes, we're happy with the price Nacho. Would have preferred it cheaper obviously but I'd say it was a fair price considering it's an NOS item and the cost of the repro's.
Sure there's a few little pits but a 40-odd year old piece of mazak/pot-metal/whatever is bound to have deteriorated even a tiny amount over the years.

I must say tho, not shown in the pics, the angle of the 'V' where it sits on and follows the contour of the trunk lid, didnt quite match the angle in the trunk lid. It's only sitting flat in the recess in the trunk lid because the nuts on the inside of the trunk lid that hold it on, have pulled it down flat. Hopefully the nuts will keep it on there and over time, allow the ally to distort enough to follow the shape of the trunk lid.

I wonder if thats why the original's got stress cracks on so many of them

yes I know... but is not for the years, just beacuse they did look to be storaged in a wet storaging place for long time :icon_frown:. But thats why I took care of take pics of every bad spot I found and be fully honest with that
