NOS grill and both surrounds 1966 Coronet , NOT MINE. Be sitting down when you open this

Doubt they will sell close to that being ‘66 surrounds. ‘67 they would be gone already. I have one ‘66 side nos with a few very light scratches at 1/2 cost and never even got an offer….
Hard to see why the demand would be different?
Because of the 67 R/T?

Yep, more desirable the car = the more valuable in demand the parts
I see but, the other side is = just less 66 Hemi Coronets out there. Which to me is just as valuable.

I scored an NOS grille for my 72 Satellite wagon a few years back at Carlisle. I asked the guy "satellite?" He half rolled his eyes and says "yes but it won't fit a road runner". "I know. I have a wagon, it's the same as mine".

His eyes lit up, I could see the 'i don't have to take it home!' run through his head...

Looks at me..."$50 ok?"

SCORE!!!

I'm the guy who doesn't poke his girlfriend to keep her tight. All the NOS parts will be foe the next guy.
Nothing wrong with that and seems like a good idea cause it might piss off your wife who buys you car parts!

Yes.

About only 1966 coronet valuable enough is a Hemi car. Next up is a 383 4bbl low performance motor. Big jump down on value.

For 1967 you have introduction of the separate high performance nameplate models (R/T and GTX). So the buying audience is a little wider with Coronet R/T’s with 440 magnum and Hemi cars.

At a Mecum auction think around 2020 a 67 R/T convertible white ln number 3 condition sold for $75k.

How much is a lot? Always like to know what 66/67 convertibles go for. That one looks really nice, where can I look for more pictures. I think any 67 R/T GTX Hemi convertible will command more money than a 66 equally equipped. GTX sounds better than Satellite and R/T sounds better than Coronet, just my opinion. Last couple years been think of selling my car. Not fun driving with the phone craziness, in 2015 after sitting 9 years almost got hit. It was really close. On a narrow back road a guy comes around a corner 2' on my side an taking more. Heard my 30 year old suck in a loud breath, I'm looking for a place to go, no place without hitting something hard. The last second he gets back on his side.
Thinking of selling and doing Hemmings online. Reserve of $89,995 but add that winning bidder also has to buy my NOS parts. Haven't set a dollar amount but it will be between $5k to $7k.

When I bought my 66 Belvedere the guy had a 67 GTX 440 4 speed convertible B5 blue black top and interior to sell. I could have got it for $8,000 plus all the other 67 NOS parts that went with it, all numbers matching too. Guy was selling his dads cars and parts (died 5 years before) not a car guy and no clue what he was sitting on. I Had the money but I figured my hands were full with the 66 (probably 6-10 grand in nos parts with it). In hindsight should have got it! Likely tripled my money but..
I’ll add, my 66 is a silver 4 speed Hemi Belvedere II, no rust, car, nos parts and a 4 door parts car for…drum roll, $5000

Those 66 grill surrounds & bezels NOS 'parts boxes'
look like they've been around the world, twice...
Been holding them moving them around for a 'loooooooooooong' time
shuffled around a lot, to get that kind of wear,
or in the wrong type of storage
especially for those prices, even the boxes should be pristine

we know why
crazy $$$

Smart observation. The scratches are right on the upper fender edge where you will see them most. Since these are bright dripped aluminum, you can't buff those out. You would have to strip the brite-dip off, buff and re-brite-dip.
