Ha! My dear wife Gretchen calls it exactly that...'Puke Green'. Funny too, when I was updating her on the 'lettering' progress, she asked me...'is there enough lettering going on the car to cover ALL of the puke green up?'. Can you believe the audacity of her?!That's sweet and so is the color!! Didn't care much for most of the green paint ChryCo used in the late 60's and early 70's except for Sassy Grass and that one took me awhile lol but man, the green on your car is fabulous!! And don't think I've ever seen puke that looked like that!
Think I'd have to tell any wife of mine that if they didn't like the color, they didn't have to ride in it!Ha! My dear wife Gretchen calls it exactly that...'Puke Green'. The green is actually a metallic PPG Citrus Pearl Green Iridescent. I told my wife I've never seen another '65 with that color & she said 'Thank God!'. lol

AWSOME !View attachment 895909 View attachment 895910 View attachment 895911 View attachment 895912 View attachment 895913 Decided to do A/FX 'lettering' on my AWB '65 Coronet 440 to finish off its racing theme.
I have the honor of knowing 'Shottz' Ousley who has been doing race car lettering, the old fashion way, for years! Gotta be the BEST lettering & paint artist in the south.....or anywhere, for that matter!
After adding 'Enderle' 8-Stack injection w/EFI conversion about 18 months ago, the decision was now final to cap it all off with nostalgic lettering that depicts the history of the car back to when it was originally built at the 'Maywood City' assembly plant in Los Angeles County & purchased new at Charlie Allen's Atlantic Dodge in L.A.
Im excited to have the AWB finished very soon & it's looking better than I ever imagined! Completion day is near!
It is a citrus pearl green color & right now it is 14-year old paint.I have always thought 1969 F8 green met. is a great color when fresh, but it is not after 20-25 years.
I love this shade of green here and such a cool car!!
