webp file extension don't work here. I don't know why. You could ask eBay and other websites why they insist on using webp files. 
I save pictures and then edit on my cellphone which converts them to jpeg. Like this:

When I encounter webp images, first I reassess if I want to go to the trouble....
Has cut down on the amount of images I save from the web.
Then, if I deem it worthwhile-
printscreen (or alt-prtscr)
open paint
paste
crop
save as jpg/png
Sometimes I have to do all but save, just to copy a pic to FxBO.
