Noticed something interesting on a dash

Saw a chrome piece spanning the top part of the cluster usually were a bezel goes. Seemed odd but this is on a dodge so not sure if it was a factory piece :dontknow:

My 68' coronet 500 has that same piece...No plastic chrome bezel like the roadrunner.
