No one has a Buckmaster?
I do, a Buckmaster 184. I also have a Cold Steel Warrior Series wakizashi sword. I chose it for the relatively short length compared to the Samurai longsword as the latter is too unwieldy, at least in my untrained hands. I have a few other items from Cold Steel, I love their quality. Pics to follow...

I collect knives, but for the most part they are utility first, so mostly pocket knives. Some of them are quite large folders(3-4" blade folders) which i use around home often, not so much to carry in public.
I buy USA made. Which means a lot of my collection is OLD. I like to search at flea markets or antique stores for them, where people don't recognize a name or realize a bigger brand moved to china and quality puked.
For instance, CAMCO, which is a branch of Camillus that made advertising knives. Nothing really different about the knife, but the scales had a business name on it. One of the ones I carry to work every day was a made in USA CAMCO with a flooring company on it that was basically brand new(2.5" blade) I got for $2 at the flea market.
I will buy slightly distressed knives(no broken ones, or severe rust or damage) that haven't been taken care of but have lots of life left, and bring them back to life. Kind of a hobby, a lot cheaper then cars :)

I don;t post pictures of me, family, or my stuff really, but a couple of my favorite utility style(pictures found online)

Camillus Electrician's Knife
Has a multi-use screw driver type blade, and a nice size cutting blade. The driver blade locks down with a side action brass tab you can see in this picture making it very stout. I carry this once in a while. Older, probably 60's/70's. Found it at an antique shop for $8, needed some serious edge care, sharp as heck now. Picture(not mine)

Old(70's?) Schrade sharp finger style fixed hunter with hook feature. I have a factory sheath for it. Mine was in rough, rough condition when I got it for a buck, but looked to never really been sharpened, just black corrosion all on the blade. I spent a couple evenings on it, you can save old quality stuff. Some pitting, but it is sharp as hell now. I use it at home mostly. I cut a section of old radiator hose lengthwise holding it with two fingers and my thumb about two weeks ago, sharp little bugger! pic(not mine)

I have a few other folders of typical size not really all too special, a couple old Case and another larger Shrade. One that flew under the radar of most is a series from late 70's/early 80's that Crossman made(yes, as in BB gun Crossman) During that era, they also made some super high quality pellet guns. My Grandfather bought a pump action pellet "rifle" that all of the grandsons used for years. Well, during that era they made this series of knives. I watch for them, they are at least as good as Case or Camillus, or Buck for that matter. Example:

I have a small one like this I carry frequently, and the largest one they made which is too big for public almost as a folder lol. This series all came with a black leather sheath and is very high quality.

I enjoy looking at the exotic collector type knives, but I don't spend. Something about this hobby, I need to not be afraid to use it for dirty work, I prefer designs meant for repeated hard use. I have enough to last me and probably my son's lifetime, but why not collect? If people want to keep selling vintage folders for $5 I will keep adding to my collection.

One thing I would like to add to my collection, but would be chicken to use is those old 1930's era Case knife/hatchet combo tools. Where a lever holds the blade in place and you can swap it back and forth between the hatchet head and the blade. Example:

I just think it is a unique design. Hard to find one in nice shape that someone doesn't want gonzo dollars for though. But I guess, 90 year old tools are not a dime a dozen :)

knives are so cool and easy to collect. Ontario knife is in the village (franklinville). near me . cutco/kabar in the closest city to me (olean ). case/zippo just into pa (bradford) near me . i got a few !

Here's some of my home defense/zombie apocalypse preparedness kit. All of this stuff excluding the sword is vintage, 40-ish years old.

A couple Gerber daggers, a BuckMaster 184 that spoke to me and I just had to have, a cool and very thick and sharp Valor throwing star, Cold Steel Warrior Series wakizashi sword and Cold Steel folding tanto knife. The star is heavy and factory sharpened, it would probably go through sheetmetal.
