NSS and reverse light plug

My old 904 trans had the same 3 prong plug at the trans as the new 727 does. I assume it doesn’t matter which way you push it on as long as all 3 prongs are in?

You are correct.

The center pin earths the start relay in park or neutral, the other two are joined together when reverse is selected.
