Can anybody tell me where to find the stamped engine numbers on a 65 426 wedge motor?:eusa_doh:

wouldn't they be on a pad in front of the passenger side head? or would they be in the back of the block?

They weren't on the pad in front and I didn't see any in the back unless maybe paint filled them in.

A 426 would have the stamp numbers on the pad next to the distributor. If you have nothing then it's possibly a replacement block.
