Thanks for the input. I know that with the cam/compression on this 340 I could never get it to run right with a 318 induction system, so dressing it up would not work. Whoever built this engine did a nice job matching all the parts as it screams. I have a 1973 340/4-speed car that the engine for that is long gone. I figured putting this 340 in it would make a better choice since that one is also a sunroof car and deserves to be restored. That car is a long ways out from being worked on as I am not retired yet.
