Installing OER tach in 70 GTX. Have tach, a little light on instructions. Just want to be sure on connections
Gray wire out the side to negative side of coil
+ 12 volt source in run or hot all the time ??
G ground / mounting screws , leave alone
S not sure ???
1) Is the + term for constant 12 for clock?
2) Is the S term for power in run ?
3) Car stored with battery unhooked but is there a better way to set the clock power up?

Thanks -L-

If you've downloaded (or have a printed) service manual, you'll find the wiring for the tachometer in section 8, page 148.

Cool on the wiring diagram but looking at the back of the (service manual) tack, it does not match up with the aftermarket tac. new pic shows gray wire coming out of Tach
Wiring harness >gray mates up to gray wire, Blue seems to fit the + terminal
Agree on S being Signal but wonder if this is for MSDS system.
I did upgrade to electronic ignition.

The grey pigtail is constant power for the clock. One of the terminals on the back should have a male spade for the blue wire.

Update
Gray wire Clock
+ 12 power in run
S neg side of coil
Have not had a chance to start car, still have to many other things apart. Will update the update when we get it running. Trending positively Thanks all
