Skipping the usual hemi cuda's and road runners that most people mention when asked what mopar they want. I thought it might be interesting to see what lesser known/popular Mopars folks have their eye out for?

For me, I've always liked the 70 Fury GT. Available with 383, 440 or very rare 440-6. Could be had with console & buckets, like the power bulge hood and rally- like wheels that were available too. A big car for sure, but I kind of like them.

Your choice?

I always have an eye open for a solid mid to late `70's Power Wagon (macho additions are kool) or a Ramcharger/Trailduster, but I have to finish up the projects I allready have before getting serious about that.

Mid 80's Ram or Ram Charger, they are so darn cool!!! I'm in the same boat as detmatt1 though lol

Would love to own Herb McCandless Chrysler 300 with the modern Hemi stuffed under the hood as seen at Moparfest

1956 Fury 303cid 3 on the tree. The first Plymouth muscle car. I also like the Macho trucks. I even like the sweepside trucks. Especially a short bed 4x4 with 3/4 ton axles. Those are cool. I would one of everything if I could. I think it would be easier to ask which ones I don't like.

A few of my dream Mopars are:

1969 Polara 500 2 door or convertible, 68 AMX, 56 Chrysler windsor 2 door, 68-71 Dodge D-100 shortbed stepside, 36-38 Dodge humpback panel truck, 67 Belvedere or Satellite convertible, 72-74 Challenger or Cuda.

My Grandfather had a red with a black vinyl top 69 Polara 500 2 door hardtop 383 car that was in my parents wedding and my dad cruised around in a yellow 56 Chrysler Windsor 2 door when he was younger and a 74 Challenger was his first new car. The rest are just Mopars I have always liked.

I have always loved the fastback look of the 67-68 Polara, wouldnt mind a mid 70's Magnum either. I love the hugeness of the early 70's C bodys too, i would love a 70 to 72 Chrysler Newport.

Might seem a bit strange from a B-Body guy, but I'd like to find or resto a 76/77 Volare style Roadrunner or Aspen R/T in WHITE with the orange/red striping package.............

A FABO member has one........Years ago they seemed a bit insulting to my taste considering what Mopar turned out beforehand.....but as time goes by, the style grows on me............:blob1:

I'm with you, I love the look of Ram Chargers!! Here's a pic of my old 1984 Ram Charger, great body lines, but I was never crazy about the color. I wish I had never sold it though.

I'd settle for this one......still outta my price range.

I have owned a lot of MoPars in the past but, without a doubt, the one I have enjoyed the most is my daily driver right now. A 2005 Ram SRT-10 Reg cab truck. 6 spd, 4.56 gear. I have had it about 4 yrs and enjoy it more everytime I get in it. Have a 150 shot of nitrous on it and a good set of slicks. Have run 7.28 in the 1/8th which would be about an 11.30 1/4 mi.

I think I already have one. A 74 New Yorker 2 door with a 440. Not to many people want to drive one of these.

An offbeat choice for me would be a white 1956 Desoto Firedome Sportsman Hardtop Coupe as driven by James Stewart in Alfred Hitchcock's "Vertigo". Failing that... a similar '55 or '56 Chrysler. How could any Mopar fan not fall in love with that car as it purrs all through San Francisco following Kim Novak's Jaguar sedan.
