Offthe beaten path Mopar you'd like to own?

When I eventually find one i'll be sure to look you up Matt....... Anyone that can find Factory R/T Emblem Paint Templates could probably pull parts for a Pioneer out of a box of CoCo Puffs.

As if I needed a reason to make Cocoa Puffs part of my morning ritual!

Chrysler has produced a bunch of cool vehicles aside from our B-bodys.
50's convertibles and station wagons are among my favorites. And most all dodge trucks.....

Heres a shot of my 64 Crewcab, (everyday driver), and a wagon I got excited about not long ago.

Ohh... I forgot to mention... 64 Imperial convertibles......

OHHH....OHHHH.... and..... Well, another time

AWSOME 64 880 wagon, never seen one before

I never really noticed these until recently, maybe because I'd never seen one before but there's great lines on these 71-7? Coronet wagons.I really like the 71 with the aggresive looking loop bumper...almost looks like a 70 Charger.

Looks like they actually styled a wagon instead of grafting a box on the back of a 4D.

I personally like 63-65 wagons. I think they have a lot of character.

BTW I was trying to limit my entries to cars ot specifically covered in this forum.

Yeah,it made a huge difference when they styled and built the 4 doors and wagons separately from the 2 doors.I never did like the overall styling of the earlier 68-70 4 doors or wagons that much even when I did own a 68 wagon.

I forgot those wagons are b-bodies when I picked them,I see so few of them anywhere that it almost does'nt register.

A more unusual car that I found last year and really liked (and almost bought) was this 61 Fury HT.I would have bought it but I already have a couple of Mopars that need attention already.

I'm a sucker for Coronets for some reason...have the 69 Bee and a 69 4 door, convertible may be out of my range for some time but would love to have a 69 wagon..collect all 4!
That or a 59 Coronet 2 door....they've got about the most pissed off looking front end of any car in my opinion, kind of like Christine's evil twin.

That Fury is one I would like to have.

It's a pretty cool car...I love rear quarter and side angle look of the car...great roofline. The front is pretty wierd, though.
I think you could get swiveling front seats in those as well but this one had some sort of later GM power bench seat swapped it.The square steering wheel was still there.

It definitely would stand out from the crowd and you'd probably be the only one showing up at the car show with one of those.

The car did sell and was bought by a friend of a friend up here so I'll have to check in to see how it's coming along.

I just saw a 70 Fury in a classic salvage yard. Not a GT, but was a big block. White with B5 int and P/W.

Love those early 60s hex-trapezoidal steering wheels, but bet they are a bitch to use in fast or tight cornering. Don't really see the attraction to those newer flat bottom wheels, like the new Charger (but I do love the taillights).

Looks like that might have a 67 Coronet rear seat??!?

That classic salvage yard was a GREAT experience.
Basically a metal recycler, but when the owner gets an old car in, he spares it from the crusher, sets it aside, and sells parts. Prices were VERY reasonable, and I bet he still makes salvage price after the first 3 or 4 parts sell.

Make mine a 65 Fury cop car

I was given a ride home in one of these when I was a youngster, acually my friend and I looked suspicous:idea1: so the kindly officer asked to take us home so he could know where to pick us up later. We we innocent but since we were long haired hippy types we fit the bill.
Fast forward a couple years, I am 15 or 16 and my folks bought this same big block black and white at a police auction, cheap. So now I get to cruise and lay rubber in the same cop car I took my first ride in a cop car in.:headbang:
We didnt have it for to long parents complained gas milage wasnt too good, but I think it was probably because they were afraid I was driving it too fast to be safe. They were probably right.

I've never tried driving one of those early 60's Mopars with the oddball steering wheels but I'd imagine it would be a wierd and unpredictable feeling at first.I guess they never pictured the cars being driven that hard but it could mess you up in an emergency manuever.

Good eye about the back seat,it fits in there so well that it looked factory but after looking closer I think the car originally had an all black interior but the seats likely got baked out over the years and both were swapped at some point.

Anybody need a good red back seat from a 67 Coronet?

Exactly!! What made me start the post...just too lazy to scrounge a photo.

Love the early 60's Fury that FJ5 posted as well

One I have never had but would like to have someday if the right car and opportunity was there is an old original 426 Max Wedge 4-speed. The uglier the better. Even a stationwagon would be fking sweet.

I'd love to take one to the local track and just old-school some kids with their EFI computerized plastic barbiedoll cars.
