According to the guide, don't have to lift the motor for removing the small block pan from later model Plymouths. Well, I have my doubts about that (i'll be doing it myself in another week or two).
To answer my own question here, my nephew has a lift and changed my 318 rear main seal in my '72 Satellite Sebring Plus without raising the motor. The old seal was good and hard. When finished, we noticed a leak at the oil filter so we also changed that round gasket on the oil filter plate (the old one was toast). Some test drives later will help determine how much we dried up the drips.
