Tell me what you think, I know it's tough since the pics are crap and the description puts it in the "not stock" class.

Here is a little back ground, my buddy from San Jose,ca crashed his plum crazy 70 cuda' 440 six pack that I had found for him by the way!!! Here is a article on it.
http://www.nbcbayarea.com/news/loca...Car-Strikes-Pole-SJ-Restaurant-147583435.html

Now don't listen to the article he had some one cut him off powered around them and the throttle stuck(it was just tuned) his story not min.

So anyway ever since the Mopar rally June 3rd he has been poking me about b-body's :) kind of quietly asking me about this car or that.

So he calls me tonight looking at this 70 charger and first thing he tells me is $13k so right off I start to wonder what's wrong? lol

So if you guys could take a look at the ad and tell me hat you think good and bad or just bad ;) I can pass on some expert opinions and hopefully we can find him a kick *** b-body!

Better go with him Bigman.. take a good look at it, just my 2 cents. Pictures really don't show much at all.

Even with those poor pictures the interior is crap, tires look awful. Doesn't mention a thing about the engine. I would pass on that thing.

I'm more optimistic than the other folks. It just might be a good-to-excellent deal, but you can't know anything from the lousy ad.

I would ask for a complete inventory of the driveline, suspension, brakes, etc. And obtain lot of pics. Then a trip might be warranted. What are you, maybe 2 hours away?

I say ask more q's and then decide if a trip is worthwhile.

At least go look at it. Pics suck and usually do on CL but those are worse then normal. Subframe connectors....check those out for crappy welds and how they are installed. The ad tells me someone wanted a race car more than a street car. Take a magnet for checking areas full of bondo.

I agree with Cranky, and check for bondo.

But he is a chevy guy and may be looking to just unload it. There are deals to be had if you find them. You just have to act fast.

Call and ask questions. What is the worse that could happen. Do be a friend and ask questions though. Don't let your buddy get a lemon.

Even if it is full of bondo it could be fixed.

I agree with others...at least call and then take a look if it seems like this guy isn't a total dip$hit. Probably a 318 car originally with a missing fendor tag. And you could maybe get him down to 10k or less.

I would definitely go and look at it. $13K for a 1970 Charger in decent shape leaves a lot of play money for the fix-ups that might be needed to make it awesome. This is one of the greatest car designs of all time, so worth a personal check-out for sure.

btw, based on the video/pix of the crash, it looks like $13K would be more than enough to fix the Cuda? :eusa_think:
