Me and some friends of mine are going to the detroit motorama in a few weeks. It better get a little warmer there by then

I hear you DVW, I'm up on the west side of Lansing and I'm tired of this darn cold air, schools were closed the last 2 days too. Can't warm up the garage enough to work on the Coronet either. I hear at least another week of this cold air.

I feel for you guys

stay warm
throw another log on the fire,
in another month or so it'll hopefully soon be over,
for your sake & the Northeast, I hope so....

Send some of the snow out west, we need it,
we don't need the damn cold thou...LOL,

I don't know how all the people can stand living in the cold every year like that,
{I think I'd have to go south or west...LOL}
I know Calif. sucks {politically} in many ways, Libtard wonderland...LOL
but you can't beat the weather & mountain roads, we have all the elements it seems,
desert, surf/sand/ocean, valley, Great Mountains, hiking, skiing, rivers/lakes,
believe it or not also great hunting & fishing, great farm/ranch lands {the whole valley & foothills}
& orchards/vineyards,
We also have some great "year round" car events & racetracks too
{just stay away from SF & LA...LOL (sorry city people) great place to visit just don't live there}

I use to love the snow when I was younger,
Lived in Lake Tahoe area when it's in the 20*'s it goes right thru you,
it's not dry snow or weather it's freaken' wet & miserable...
I Lived in Alaska for 4 winters, it got down in the neg.-20*'s to -40*'s,
it didn't feel as cold as the 20*-30*'s in Tahoe...

it was a balmy 72* dry warm & sunny here in the Central Sierra Foothills today
sorry I shouldn't rub it in....

Hemi Rebel, I almost forgot that was coming up, glad you mentioned it. I'll have to get a hold of a couple of my mopar buddies here and see if the are going. http://autorama.com/attend/detroit/

California is incredible. A vast majority of the people are the problem. And earthquakes. I take the cold over earthquakes anyday

When I was stationed in North Dakota the saying was at 30 below it just dosen't matter any more. Now I'm in Florida and the past couple of days all I've heard is people complain it's cold. It's winter people. Yesterday it was 49on my porch. Last night 28. Tomorrow it's supposed to be 70 I'm taking the car out.

Yeah, Budnicks, maybe when I retire (if I can afford to someday), maybe I can do some of the snowbird stuff. I was lucky enough a few years ago to CA for training in late Sept. somewhere about half way between Santa Monica and Disney. It was 100 degrees for the first couple days but we were inside for training.
Fortunately, I have a cousin that lives in Santa Monica, a couple miles from Santa Monica Pier. I was able to stay a couple extra days and visit. I loved the area. I was still on MI time and was up early Saturday and walked to Wilshire Blvd, grabbed a coffee and was walking around a bit. I hear a nice rumble and nice convertible with surf board sticking up in the backseat goes rolling by. Unfortunately it wasn't a mopar but it was a sweet site.

003.jpgI moved from Rochester Ny. 3 yrs. ago to get away from the cold and snow. I'm now in north TX. today it was 67 but on Mon. it won't break 30. I don't miss the snow and cold!

This might help...

:eusa_whistle:

I'm with you dvw, I'm right near you in Farmington, this kind of cold gets old quick.

I just spent most of the day in my garage - it was in the low 20s all day today and snowing. The garage was cold, and holding tools just sucked he heat right out of my hands. Yes, I did wear mechanics gloves, but even then my fingers got cold. When I had to thread nuts on bolts, the gloves came off and the fingers froze...

Hey winter: :icon_fU:

I'm really sick of this sh!t. Enough already!!!!! Give us a freakin break! -20 to -40 for the past month. And I got snow up to my armpits!!

AAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
