Old Dodge truck value?

I was watching that style dodge truck for awhile mainly because I owned one. After the next generation of dodge truck came out, the "rounded" ones, these have steadily increased in value. And are getting harder to find.

My brother had a 318 3/4 2 wheel drive and that thing was an animal. He could haul a full water tank and the rear end hardly squatted at all. He knew a lot more about trucks than I and said other makes 3/4 ton trucks couldn't haul a tank.

You hear "ford tough"a lot when it comes to trucks, but I maintain Dodge trucks, particularly the HD 200 and up series are truly "serious" work trucks.

One of my buds had a 77 318 club cab 4x4 that NEVER got stuck (or broke down).
He ended up trading it (for the most part) for an 83 ford 5 liter 4x4 and got stuck the first day, many times after that and blew up the engine after three weeks.

My brother had a 4x4 Warlock, and the full time front knuckles were almost impossible to find parts for.
On that matter, I'd agree that swapping to lockout hubs is probably the way to go, at least when it come time to do steering or suspension work.

Those trucks that are full time go real well in slippery stuff. (I have had three) The weak spot is the front wheel bearings. But you could always swap the 8 lug knuckles and hubs from a later model 3/4 ton over, and just leave them locked in. Gas milage kind of sucks, but they will climb a tree!

HEY H2E. don't know how far you are from Oakdale, WI. but there is a 91 Ramcharger 360, 4x4 that is s'posed to have 68,000 original miles. It's right next to the LOVE's truck stop. I talked to the guy that was talking to the owner. It is in great shape with original paint. Came from IDAHO. It's light blue. I haven't stopped to look at it upclose, but it is in good shape. IThe guy I talked to says he wants $5000 for it.

You put Chevy knuckles on one & all is good

The price is way tooo high That truck sold on the GSA for between $500-1200 running or not I watch it regular for these trucks

Thanks for all the input guys. I think I will look for something a little newer and with lock-outs. If any of you from the southern States have a rust free Dodge pickup that I could use for a plow truck/16 year olds first vehicle, I may be interested.
