Just one lousy part to close all the holes on my 64 Ply firewall. Blasted heater control valve. Still have the one off the car, but Sears sure don't have one.
Nope. I've been looking...no tango. What have you 62-65 guys been doing?

I stand corrected. Just looked at a 64 pic, showing that valve mounts on the fenderwell, inline with the heater hose. Still a hole.
Not much at looking at ebay stuff...guess I'm too much of an old guy. Saw one new so-called replacement valve $462??

Thanks, guys. Don't think thats it, dartforforty.
My original valve is buried deep in a box, right now. I've got to locate it. My 64 was an a/c car, but I've changed it. By my 64 parts book the valve is the same a/c, or no. Like in the photo I saw, it mounts on the pass side fenderwell, but nothing I've found looks like it.
Frustrating not able to find simple parts. My own fault I haven't looked at the car for several years. Really appreciate the help. I'll get it figured out.

This board has a great bunch of guys on it always willing to help out a fellow mopar enthusiast
good luck with your car

can you post a picture of your part? I have boxes of this stuff & may have an nos piece--I have alot of A/C pieces --heater control valves--driers etc---cant promise I have it but I will look

Wow. Yes, sirs, this is one great site, and bunch of guys.
That valve is the last part, besides the wiring, I need to finish the engine compartment. But, part of my prob may be that the car was a factory a/c-equipped one, and I changed it all out. I've looked for some kind of references on it...just need to look more. As soon as I can, I'll find my old valve, and post a photo. Thanks much!

If you have your old one and its an original one, give Joe Hudeck a call @ 715-392-6169. He can rebuild and restore a lot of them. He did mine and it came back like new. Fast turn around too.

my 64's all had a valve located on the heater box, non A/C cars

Right. It's been awhile, but I stripped out all the a/c stuff, and used a spare non a/c car heater box I had. Had the core rebuilt, and checked out the rest, so that core valve is there.
Could be I'm just assuming the vacuum-operated heater hose valve I'm refering to is needed, that is mounted inline, and on the pass side fenderwell. I need to research more on it, before I know what's what.

I found a cable operated one on e bay, no vacuum. the one I found is different from my previous post

Finish eating my crow. Sorry, guys, I flat didn't know what the hell I was talking about. Assuming is a dangerous game.
The valve I've been looking at is 2277 123, and IS only used on a/c cars. I figured since it was tied into the heater hoses, that it was part of the system.
Back under rock...

Okay, that's making sense. I wasn't sure what you were looking for. The temperature control valve on non-air 64-5 cars is on the heater core inlet, part of the core itself.
