So most of my research has pointed to all available carpets being two piece, one in front and one in back with the seam going under the front seats.

Well, cleaning out my basement, I still have the original carpet I pulled from my 73 Roadrunner, its one piece, has these ears that attached in the back seat well to keep it in place under the back seat.

So, I am now wondering was it originally one piece carpet and if it wasnt, anyone know what it may have come from?

Would like to know before I chuck it in the dumpster!

That doesn't look OEM to me.

What do the dimmer grommet and heel pad look like?

Is there a Chrysler part # or supplier name tag?

Even the Texas dry rotted carpet in my 66 has those still in place.

as far I know, 71/73 were two pieces loop pile, then 74s were one piece cut pile

This is cut pile, and you can see the heel pad, the dimmer switch grommet was torn out when I got the car. Maybe this is carpet from a 74 that someone installed before I got the car.

My 73 SSB is July build so late and is two piece

My 73 Charger SE built about Nov 72 had plush carpet contrary to what everyone out there thinks should be in there. I have photos of my original carpet, two pieces, from 1986. Also the jute was a brown thick material thicker than what we are stuck with from every manufacture out there. I wished I saved the jute, but I did not think long term back then.

I was thinking about this the other day and I wonder if the carpet may have come from a Cordoba. I was thinking that could be the case because the front buckets when I bought the car were from a Cordoba, they were leather and had a pouch on the seatback which I think is what some Cordoba's had then.

if the Charger SE got Brougham package, the plush carpet was part of it
