Opinions...1968-1970 b body AMD 3” extended inner wheelhouses

Does anyone know anything about these? I get to put the back end of my car back together, and will be replacing my rotten stock ones. Does anyone have any idea how much modification is required or if they send a template like the US car and tool? It looks to be the same result, just cleaner?


Thanks for any advice. I want to be able to fit 315+ on the rear and might go with a weld in 4 link.

Premade mini-tubs. Takes the tubs to the frames rails. Cut rear floor pan and trunk pan. Modify trunk hinges.

Get em they work, I believe they are offering the fender side now too without the annoying Mopar flat spot for true big wheel clearance...

Yea that’s the ugly duckling, I’m not sure who made it bout it was car tool but could be wrong. I know and now sells an already widened inner so you don’t even need the kit anymore...

Man-Oh-Man! Nicest looking, most bad assed...***...in all of classic muscle cars!!
I'm still very happily surprised by the little bit of lift but noticeable very nice improvement in appearance the new split mono leaf springs gave my car.

My issue is that I’m replacing everything in the rear except frame rails. To index the trunk pan, most people seem to clamp it to the wheelhouses to verify placement. Is it bad I’m half tempted to buy a set of amd inner wheelhouses to cut patches and index the trunk? Then go back later and replace the inner wheelhouses?

It’s more expensive, but I want to make sure everything is straight.

I'll take ANY pictures or detailed information about the recently available AMD oversize wheel tubs.
It seems like they are a great replacement for the USCT strip of metal that was intended to be welded to the cut edges of the middle of the factory wheel tubs.

I saw a 72 or 73 Charger roll in to the monthly local car show I was at Saturday evening. It was dark where he parked and I didn't take a picture.
What caught my attention were the BIG WIDE FATTIES under the rear wheelwells. I think they were about 13" wide tires, maybe 15"...
I thought the lighting was decent this morning when I was getting ready to pull my Roadrunner out of its nest, and I am so happy and impressed by the "extra bonus" of the rear of the car being lifted maybe 2" by the Calvert split mono leaf springs, the dramatic way it has improved the "look" of the whole car, maybe as much as how that new look makes me feel, and I think it's very muscular looking, like wide shoulders, and "menacing", plus it shows off the really cool "I mean business" and functional LPW raw aluminum diff cover (it has diff gear "jack screws" that preload the main caps in the diff, raising the threshold where deflection could cause breakage, brings structural support to the gear housing, can utilize the back brace kit which reduces axle tube flex). Even if I never add on to it, the 3 plugs in it are great. One for fill, one to drain, and one to check the level right below the bottom of the axle tube level.

thats the same boat i was in. no idea where to start. im a diy guy but all the body work can be nerve racking. good luck on getting your car worked out
