Opinions on this 1970 SuperBee?

Just because that is what they are asking, doesn't mean that is what they are selling them for... Offer them what you think it is worth. I doubt that anybody is going to buy that car for 75K.
Figure that it is worth around 40K if it was in good shape, make your deductions from there. Offer them 35K or so.

It won't. All of these absurd asking prices are based off that one guy. I think it's Legends Classics or Gateway, something like that. Who puts these fancy photo ebay auctions up with rotisserie fresh restorations for 80K and just relists them month after month for the last couple of years. It's the first similar car they see and assume that's the market rate. @4speed68rt is way closer to the mark with 35K given the record of actual sold cars on bringatrailer. But good luck telling someone that who thinks their bondo popping bee is worth 75.

Bondo in that area would have me suspect of bad rust repair. Tip of the iceberg. Nice car but a lot wrong with it. $75k? Lol
 
Don't be afraid to offer half of asking price. Many people are doing this nowadays. Ask me how I know.

Next time I list a car for sale it will be priced somewhere around double what I expect to get for it.
 
I dunno, this looks a lot like a lipstick on a pig thing. I think although the car looks good from a distance there are signs that whoever built it didn’t know or care about details. That is fine on a driver quality car but this guy is asking concours money. The dash and tops of doors, lack of blackout behind the grill, engine callout, and the cracking Bondo to me all point out to this being a car that was slapped together to flip for maximum profit. That is always worrisome.
But all of that is fixable by you, but check hard for more rust. If you have to cut out rust you may as well get a different, cheaper, non”restored” car and build that.
I’m in no position to talk, really. My own wannabee is built from Frankenstein parts but we at least built it so that it looks like it COULD have been built at the factory if the factory built them that way.
And this is probably just me but take the wing off, throw it off a bridge, and fill the holes.

I'm in a weird position because I have two categories of acceptable condition I am interested in. 1, If it's going to be north of 60K I want it damn near perfect and a real V code. Don't care about original drivetrain. I just do not overpay and I've been shopping for 5 years so I am patient but I would like to find my car by the end of this year. If it's not that perfect car I'm looking for a 30-40K driver that looks pretty good, is complete, and does not have any rust issues I have to deal with. And because I am sick of settling for things in life I want what I want this time, no exceptions. It's time I get something my way that I can truly be happy with.

Must haves:
Orange
C stripes
440 6 pack
N96
Pistol grip shift
Hard Top
Black or white interior.

Would like:
Bucket seats
Go wing
Console

This at 70K I would go for in an instant. He lowered it to 110K and now it's back up to 120K because him and the guy with the purple HEMI also on FB. They have a Mexican standoff with price wars and keep seeing each other's listing not realizing one raised his to match the other, then the initial add lowered his, saw the one who raised to meet his old price, and raised it back up. This guy is impossible to talk to. Owns too many cars to care about the details we do. He responds to every query with "it's done right!" As if anyone ever said it was done wrong, and frankly that response does not answer the question. At 120K you better be able to answer a whole lot of nitpicky questions and he isn't willing.

And this guy seems like a cool guy and says he just wants the 54K he paid for it back. Which makes one wonder why he got sick of it so quick considering his vast collection of other automobiles. Problem is it's a coupe, 383, and looks like paint over rust in the engine bay.

I see why the car in question is so much…he used the same vendor to do his guages as Graveyard Carz uses! That explains the high price!
 
Even 37.5 seems high for all the bondo coming back out.

If your able to jump on the right car at 70k. I would say forget all the ones you talking about and keep looking. In the 70k range you should be able to find a really nice Super Bee with atleast 95% of the items your looking for. You can always add the items missing, like a wing or c stripe. For me If I don't get that "I want this car feeling", after checking it out. I move on and keep looking.
