I figure most of us upgrade to newer more modern breaks. What are you guys doing with your original calipers? Are they worth anything? Mine are in great shape.

What about the original spindles? Do the new break upgrades "require" new spindles or do they work with originals.

4 Piston? I thought they were single piston calipers....

First and foremost what are your overall plans for the car? Do you plan to drive it a lot?

I'd say they're worth something to someone who's restoring a car. Those were $120 in 1974, had them on a 69 Coronet. See them on ebay once in a while.

my 68 gtx has 4 piston, as well as my friend's 69 charger......... i think the change to single piston was in 70

I plan on running mine, I bought a rebuilt set about 10 years ago

is your GTX drum brake?

I seen some replacements last year for about 120.
When rebuilding mine about 17 yesrs ago for remans there was a 160 core charge.

In '74 taillight lenses for a '67 GTX were $14 but as we all know, inflation takes a toll on most of the things we purchase,

I'll hang onto them then. I figure the main people interested in them are the guys doing an all original restoration. That isn't the plan for my car. New brakes butter rear suspension are for sure. New steering box too.
