Hey Dgc, you can post pics by using the 3rd icon from the right. Just hover your mouse over them until you see insert image. Then click on it and follow the instructions. We would really love to see some pictures of your car.

Using my phone it's not working to well
its a darn good survivor but not great a few small rust spots and faded paint

Ok got pics up had to do one at a time 43 I original miles
and very clean for 38 yrs old lots of options too

Wow, great car. If it were me, I would clean it up and sort out some cosmetics like new carpet, and put the original wheels on all around. Wash and wax it and just fix any broken bits. They are only original once, and it looks really cool like it is.

That's what I was thinking I have original wheels
a real good clean and detail a few things to fix like the a/c and one power window
oh and carpet is like new

hi and welcome to the site sure looks real nice to me ,nothing a little soap and water cant handle ,just a little TLC ,wow nice thanks for sharing :headbang:

What a great looking car, it would be in good shape for 38 years old. It's even better at 48. :)

A good cleaning with the seats and carpets out in and around everything... I spent a few days pressure washing the engine and drive train... once it got clean and dry and the rust fixed it's going slowly back to gether... it's a survivor just a thorough overhaul of the rubber and moving parts.... and all the fluids and greases.... do the paint job last...

Nice Coronet! Patina would be great IMO. That is a cool color combo and as said above......."they are only original once." However, if you decide to part it out, shoot me a PM!

Welcome to the site. First and foremost, this hobby is a labor of love, and I've found if you waste time and money on cars you don't love but someone else does... you aren't in the hobby for long. I would suggest you first decide what you want to get out of this car. Having an "it's only original once" car can be great, but how are you going to feel when you go to a cruise in and you see all the nice shiny like-new restos or tricked-out restorized rides? Are you going to look at your car and love that it's original or are you going to look at it and see you're not getting the emotional response you hoped for?

I think you need to decide what approach will give you the emotional lift you need and not worry so much about what's best for the car. If having a flawed but original car meets your needs, so go with it. If newness is important to you, restore it. And if want to make your car look like how you would have made it back in the day, restorize it.

save your self a lot of money keep it the way it is it has character just do some minor work a lil TLC and I think it will be really bad ***

Hey photon440 yea 48 lol

If a total stocker is what you want, then clean her up, fix some of the issues & drive it as a survivor...

You can always put bolt-on's on her, save the original parts, for if you want to sell or go back to stock...

Like I always say "it's your car,
build it how you want it,
drive it like you stole it & damn the rest ,
who cares what other people think"

Different strokes for different folks,
I'm a day 2 guy & old racer myself... almost nothing is safe... :headbang:
Unless it's an ultra rare Hemi car or something, along those lines, that wasn't mass produced or that you see allot...

Was just looking for some feed back I'm an old motor head well was back in the day now I like them stock and restored ,but leaning to keeping this one original. I
have it's cousin a 67 r/t same drk red and we are restoring that one I like the idea of the pair . After that a 68 69 or 70 r/t charger is on the menu

Dgc, I vote leaving it original. I've been using a product by 3m called Finesse It, and it's amazing what it can do with bringing the paint back while taking the oxidation out of it.

Cool ride buddy

If you already have others in the works then leave this one original-ish.I'd still upgrade the brakes and other safety oriented things on the car and enjoy it.Just keep the old parts you pull off.I wish I still had my survivor Charger.Mainly because I know I'll never find another like it in the condition it was in.Just drive and enjoy the car.The option to restore it will always be there.

That's how I'm going to go ,do a few upgrades and drive it clean detail
and enjoy the fact it's almost as old as I am and in better shape lol. Doing some reading on bring life back to old paint
