Oval air cleaner and low intakes

I’ve researched this issue online for over a week and can’t seem to get a solid answer other than I need a stock intake.

I have a 1970 440 rr clone with the stock rr hood. I purchased an oval air cleaner and trying to find a low alum intake that will allow the cleaner to clear the hood (note not adding air grabber setup). I know my current Edelbrock RPM is way to tall. Has anyone successfully done this with the CH4B? Performer? Holley SD? Other?

I redesigned an Air Grabber base to fit a 5.7 install. I took 1 3/4 inches out of the bottom because the carb is higher. How much work do you want to do?

Go to a lower manifold, aluminum preferably. Not interested in performance, just appearance.

I sold a Mopar Performance 440 dual plane M-1 not long ago to a member here. We took allot of measurements to be sure it fit.
The Dual Plane M-1 is exact as the Iron intake. They no longer make it, so you will have to some searching but that's the one you want.
This may be the part number P4529118 my old MP 1997 catalog has many numbers mixed up.

I just added the part number to the post. It may be right as Mopar screwed up the catalog with wrong pictures not having the correct part number.

I can find the Weiand for a 383 but not 440?

If your not looking for peak numbers or drag racing, the Edelbrock Performer builds excellent torque numbers and is one of the lowest. It out performs the stock intake along with losing a few lbs in the process. Find a way to get an accurate measurement with the RPM you have (minus the air cleaner) and then compare the specs. The Torker-II is much lower than the RPM and has decent numbers for a low single plane.

Hughes has the front/rear height of the various manifolds listed.

No one has mentioned there is an oval base for 383's & there is a oval base for 440... The 440 base is about 5/8" shorter.....

That part number changes up to P5153525 just an FYI...only showing 1 in the Country so a moot point either way
