Anybody know what color red was used on brake drums for rally wheels 73 roadrunner

I don’t think they had any paint originally - Go with R413 below, I guess they did paint them red at some point

I think they had stopped doing that by then.

Have to agree, I do not think that they were painted at all.

Cars with rallye or road wheels were quickly brush painted on the face of the drums. Red could drip off onto the wheels. Not sure what year the stopped doing it. But 69-71 it was done.

My brand new 75 Road Runner were red. Close to 69 R4 red but who knows, maybe FE5 on the later cars. I sort of think it was done on the line as I remember there were red drips on the inside of a couple of the wheels. If it was done online I bet it was some kind of factory exterior colour as supply would be right there.
