Just some updates on the car

progress

how long has it been ?

I don't remember when you started the org. thread

About three weeks so far. I need to find a hood , mine was sandblasted at one time and it’s got some waves that I don’t like. One of the members on here has one but he is located in Illinois. AMD is on back order like the rest of America.

More jail time add today. We removed back glass only to find there was tigger hair from a previous repair. All of that has to go.

Still pulling time but getting closer to making bail. Got the deck filler replaced and primed and the new hood primed and sealed. Moving right along.

Looking at your lower quarter patch panel brings me to my question. I have to replace some of the same on the coronet I just picked up. I have always followed the line of replace the least amount of original sheet metal as possible. I have complete good used quarters but a thinking of opting to replace only the rusted areas.
Opinions on this?

I had to purchase both 1/4 skins just to get the bottom pieces. No one has the lower patch panels. AMD discontinued them. So to answer your question I would only replace what is rusted. Replacing the entire 1/4 requires a lot more parts other than the 1/4s. Trunk gutters, rear deck filler, corner pieces that go under the rear glass corners, trunk drop extensions and on and on. Patch lower 1/4s and be done.

I almost took that on with my charger but found patch panels. Glad I didn't do that now

A little sarcasm here:
The can replace the 1/4 in a half hour on TV
