Painting silver trim on dash and interior

70's b body dashes often have a silver paint trim around the AC bezels and other parts of the dash. Someone told me years ago to use a silver model paint from a hobby shop to repaint these little sections. Has anyone done this and do you remember exactly what color/brand of paint looks best?

If its not chrome, but truly painted, go to hobby lobby and get a silver leafing paint pen.
Here is what my rallye cluster looks like after restoration and using the paint pen.

Here is before and after for the heater control where the silver trim out was totally gone before restoration.

This product gets my approval. Ordered one and got it yesterday, used it today. It's the closest thing you can get to real chrome. Hard to tell the difference.
