Parking light question

Hi.

I'm fixing the elecrical wiring in my Road Runner.

I wonder if the parking lights are suppose to be lit while the low/hi beam lights are on?

As it is is right now they stay lit when i turn the low/hi beam headlights on, but I wonder if this is right?

yes the parking lights are always on when your headlamps are on.

IIRC, 1968 was the break over year for that. Maybe 69 but the older cars did not have full time parking lights when the headlights were on. My 66 Belvedere does not.

1967 was the first year that parking lights stayed on with the headlights, I had both a '66 Dart 270 and a '67 Dart GT, the parking lights would go out with the headlights on the '66, the '67 they stayed on.

68 & older cars went off when headlights were on, starting in 69, they stayed on
