Has any one up graded there distributor using one from whiteperformance1 If so was it good or bad? looking to change from points Thanks John

I have not heard of that dis myself. There are many good ones out there though. Is it dirt cheap or what is the incentive to buy it? Mopar electronic is about $200 for a complete set-up. Pertronix is less expensive and looks stock. MSD and Mallory have options for us. Just wondering about it?

they list a few different distributors...perhaps you can elaborate on a specific unit...

I wish I could remember the one my friend bought off the internet...while it did work..I asked the biggy...where do you get service parts....deer in the headlight stare...

While an MSD Billet distributor I believe is still well over $200, the same for $54.50 tells me a lot about it; CHINESE JUNK. While I won't say they won't work, but you.... what?...... wait for it...... GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.

Yes, I have had one in my stock 318 for over a year now with no troubles. Very easy install. It starts and runs well and you won't miss adjusting points. You won't need the external resistor. Can't see a downside yet. HTH

Do Not Waste Your Money on this option!!!! Go with the Pertronix as it is a proven swap and a reliable one at that...My 2 Cents...

I just ordered one today for my 383, paid
$108.50. I hope they are good, has to be better then the points type distro.

They are on ebay as whiteperformance1. Prices seem to be the same as their web-site: http://www.skipwhiteperformance.com/ They are out of Kingsport, TN

I have had their distributor in my car for two years now. I had a problem when I 1st got it. The guy trouble shot with me over the phone (great customer service!), determined it was the module and they sent me a new module (free!) and all worked well. Has been flawless ever since. It was as plug-n-play as you can get. The only modification...if you can even call it a 'mod' was by-passing the ballast resistor. You can either make a jumper wire, or do like I did and 'gut it' from the back and solder in a piece of wire.
