This engine was in my 1970 Super Bee when I bought it. I was told it had low miles on it and it does look very clean inside and you can still see the cross hatch on the cylinders. It was an oily mess though and my theory was due to cylinder #6 creating blow-by and pressurizing the crankcase. It could be just from storing as well. See all the pictures below - looks like a broken ring in #6 with grooved cylinder. I did a COLD compression test on it and all cylinder except #6 were at 170's psi with #6 in the 150's. Lots of clean-up on the inside with smoothing the casting. Ported 915 closed chamber heads w/o flow numbers. Bore measures 4.330" (0.10" over) and piston is 0.022" in the hole. Had Felpro head gaskets.
I know very little about this engine other than my inspection. It ran and drove onto the trailer, but I never drove it due to a cracked flex plate. I have not been into the bottom half of the engine.
Local Pick-up only SE MICHIGAN - North Oakland County. Cash sale only - $1000. Thanks for looking. I tried to be through but let me know if you have questions. I could not decode the stamp pad.
