PG classics exhaust tips - anyone buy them?

At this point I'll cut the tips off and weld them to my existing exhaust.

Can you weld two different metals? Tips are stainless steel, correct?

You can. I have stainless wire and pure argon gas. It will weld with mild steel, only no corrosion protection. Cut, tack, grind. Should be good enough.

I think 309 wire is preferred but I've used other wire as well.

Modified and welded. I would not buy these again.
