Don`t know what I am gonna do with it yet though.
69, numbers matching 383 that runs. Sadly, it`s really rusty though...

let me know what you might want to do.I only live an hour north of you,I'd be interested.

I would love to find a solid 69 shell only with it`s correct title and vin tag and clean/swap parts over. Mine has a title, fendertag and everything as well so it probably shouldn`t be parted. Bleh, I don`t know what to do. I have a nice stroked 440 that I would like to put in something too. I just don`t know...

Looks like it was spring special green.

Full quarters are available.

Could be a $30,000+ car.....

There really isn't a line in the sand between a "little rusty" and "a lot rusty"

If a panel is a little bad or a lot bad, it's just frickin bad you know what I mean?

MOST of these B-bodies are going to need some floor pan work, trunk floor, trunk to quarter extensions, quarter skins if not full quarters, andy usually some outer wheel house repair.

this as well as front lower fender rust, ruchers, lower window tray areas...

There probably isn't a whole lot of difference in rust severity between your charger here and a B-body that seems a bit better at a glance but when you tear into it you find that it's hiding a lot of secrets under the paint.

Very cool car, good luck with what ever you decide to do with it.

No here is what I mean. I can`t see spending 7 or 8k in metal when I can find a solid shell.

I know the rear rail can be fixed too, But AMD verses a good shell? I have someone wanting to trade me a complete roller tubbed pro-street A body for it and I have my stroker 440 on the stand. I am unsure on what to do. The plus the Charger will run and drive, it`s numbers matching, fender tag, title and was a neat color combo. And yes, I think it is a white hat special.

I certainly see the challenge there, I suspected that's what you meant by "really rusty"

That's too bad.

That green with a white hat, damn, that would be sweet.

If you decide to keep it, better go get your tetanus booster before you start working on it.

(speaking from experience, I bust too much rust)

I've got some help here if you need it, I'll provide all the frame rails for $350 if you come get em! (and by that I mean my whole roller shell here, front/rear, torsion bar, all of it)

Me likey that truck.

"Patina" is now fashionable, even to the point of pro builders faking it.

I certainly hope "punk *** primer with big rear tires" is the next "in" fashion statement, cause I'm there.

When someone makes a comment on my oxidized paint, I DO LOVE being able to say-
"It's CALLED 'Patina', haven't you seen antiques roadshow/american pickers, etc?"

Yeah, the 49 is done. Leaving it like it is. It has fuel injection, overdrive, 411`s, power disc brakes, rack and pinion, overdrive and all lmao. It is a 49 on a 94 Dakota chassis. Trying to leave it looking original. Took 2 first place trophys with it last year. The great thing is I don`t have to clean it or anything. Dead bugs and all!!!!!!!

that would be good if you can get over to indiana to get that other car. From where you live ,it's only about a 6 hr trip one way at the most.

The Dukes of Hazzard destroyed enough 69 Chargers, they make all the sheet metal that that car needs, wouldn't be cheap to restore, but that would make a great project.

looks like it would be a cool car i would just pull up my sleeves and tackle it if it were me like whats been said amd makes everything you need to do it and you would have one nice ride when done.

Jimbo, I did have a General, actually 2 of them. Now I have Rosco`s car lol:headbang:
After looking it over close it is to rusty to save guys. It needs every piece of metal replaced and I just don`t feel it is worth it. I dislike parting these cars out but imo, it`s a great complete running and driving parts car. I would love this to be in better shape, but don`t have 20 grand to fix it. I might however drive it around for a little bit though. The Dukes did ruin a lot. around 300 cars. I never hear about how many the movies destroyed, or how many people wrecked or left to rot in a backyard. I get so tired of hearing how many the Dukes destroyed........ After all, how many 68 and 69 Chargers were made? Yeah, I don`t think in true realite it was that many. Just think how many wouldn`t have been saved if it wasn`t for the Dukes of Hazzard.. I have seen people take cars like mine, drop 30k into it making it a .....you guessed it... A GENERAL LEE. Glass half full.
