I didn’t let anyone sit on the cars I had except our son when he was about two. In high school a fellow had 8 in his parents 2 year old 64 Mustang. Think he had some on the fenders also. Drove it about a mile at the lake. Yes alcohol was a factor.

In 1969 the Dodge Charger 500 Hemi failed to beat Fords 427 in NASCAR. This forced the Vice President of Dodge, Bob McCurry to approve the ugliest car he had ever seen.

The 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona pictured is the early white and red tailed prototype unveiled on April 13, 1969. This car has a prototype fiberglass nose, fake headlight covers drawn in with black tape, a non-aerodynamic and non-productive rear wing fairings, no rear facing scopes on the fenders and a standard Charger rear window.

This introduction happened two weeks after the Boss 429 and Mercury Spoiler II were officially allowed to race on March 30. Prior to this date Fords beat the 426Hemi with 427FE power.
