If I’m not mistaken the coop petroleum is Canadian. And also during the Great Depression American farmers got together to make products. My dad had family in Dodge City Kansas, and my mom has family in Lubbock Tx, coop os all over the place there

Farmers CO-OP - with that logo at least, I imagine there are lots of 'co-ops' - is an American thing since the 20s if memory serves. Beginning as just that - a farmer's cooperative - they expanded into lots of other related areas from lubricants into even tractors for a bit. There were 'CO-OP' stores all around; sort of a proto Atwoods/Tractor Supply thing but much better, with lots of 'private brand' merchandise and anything one might need for animal care. Theres still a 'CO-OP' silo [with that logo] in the small burgh where I currently reside. The brand was huge thru the middle and Southern parts of the country thru the 80s.
